Normally I would give a good, trope-y romance 3 stars if I liked it. I like trope filled romances because sometimes I like knowing what is going to happen next and that it will have a guaranteed HEA. If a book is a good romance with something extra, like strong characterization or a good mystery in the plot, then I up it to 4 stars. When it has all that plus something deeper, like a strong theme, then I go with 5 stars. This book was a good romance with fun characters, an interesting mystery in the background, and had a few plot points that had me reading faster to find out what was going on or laughing out loud.The relationship starts when FMC has a rough time what with upsetting her neighbor and then losing her job only to spend far too much time in a hot car. The neighbor comes over to check on her and realizes that she is severely dehydrated and a bit loopy. She slips into little space without realizing it, even though she normally tries to suppress that side of herself. He doesn't know much from personal experience about littles, but he wants to help her rehydrate and cool down, so he does what he can.As they continue to spend time together, his MC club has issues with trying to deal with a Senator who they believe is raping young girls. She has issues with a coworker at her new job. The MC club also has issues with a stalker assassin who goes by the name of Fox. All of this occurs while the FMC and her new Daddy slowly become more confident in their new relationship with each other.The relationship is sweet, and I love the slow growth. I love how he has never had a relationship like this before but does his research to make sure he is doing everything the "right" way. I love how he tries to make homemade playdough for her. I love how she accepts his possessive nature, especially once she understands his background.I especially loved the Fox character. I have shelved this book on my "psycho boyfriend" shelf, but the bf in this book is not a psycho. Fox is the psycho. He is one of those psycho characters who has no understanding of how emotions are supposed to work, but has a soft spot for the FMC even though he's not dating her. He looks out for her and takes care of her as needed. I look forward to seeing more of his character in future books in the series, and hope that the author plans to give him his very own book in this series eventually. Psychos with a soft spot are just a character type I love to read about!That is actually one more good point about this book. The author managed to make me care about both the FMC and her new Daddy, and yet also had plenty of interesting characters in the background. The psycho assassin with a soft heart, the douchey ex husband, the weasely coworker, the smarmy ex-boss, the beautiful and mysterious Jewel from the mc compound, and the other mc members were all very well rounded. They were all interesting enough that I look forward to them each getting their own book in this series (except for the douchy exhusband and weasely coworker and smarmy ex-boss - those characters are meant to stay in this book.)Combining the excitement of an MC Club with the sweetness of a DD/lg relationship and the interesting psycho assassin and other characters made this a fantastic read that I will likely re-read in the future when I find myself in a book slump. I really do look forward to the next books in this series! *SNAP* This was a fantastic book! Loved everything about it and spent all day reading it (twice.)Duke and Sunny were just beautiful together.I’ve been anticipating this book from the day I saw it on preorder -and then immediately pushed that button. On a personal level it released on my birthday and I could NOT wait to spend it just reading this book.I had a hard time finding anything to read between preordering and release day, because I wanted to read this one SO MUCH. I was afraid I’d hyped it up too much. I mean come ON - Laylah Roberts + an MC club + daddy? I’m very happy to say it was everything I’d hoped for and more!I’m eagerly looking forward to reading the other MC club members stories and will definitely be visiting this author’s various pages looking for more!PS -I know there’s an obnoxious number of “!” in this review, and that’s after I went back to tone it down.
